There is also another pub in the area and a grocery market. The famous Inn at Cape Kiwanda keeps the beer tab flowing and it is just a short walk from here to the dunes. The presence of recreational dories here and there still allows for driving on the beach but it is best avoided unless you want your beach view turning into a parking lot view.
